Acacia trees are indigenous to Africa and are found commonly on the Masaii Mara. During hot summer days, many animals will gather beneath them for the shade they provide.Giraffes and Elephants eat the leaves and stems of this tree in spite of the fact that it has large sharp thorns throughout.
